Notes on Practice Promotions on Facebook

The official Facebook guidelines for promotions can be found here. These are apparently not widely known guidelines as many small businesses are currently in violation. Facebook defines “promotions” as “any sweepstakes, contest, competition or other similar offering”. These are very strict guidelines and abiding by them makes it nearly impossible for an orthodontic practice to use Facebook for contests or even mention contests that are available for patients under 18.
